Many people have different ideas about protection training, just as many dog trainers do.

People who choose protection training should ask themselves these two questions and be able to honestly answer them.

Do they have the right breed to do such work?

What do they expect from their protection dog!

Q- Will my dog protect the house when i'm not home?

A- Depending what breed and what level of protection training has the dog had.

Q- Will my dog protect me if some one tries to mug me?

A- Yes as long as the dog has had proper Prot. Training.

Q- If my friend that is always over or plays with the dog and one day when he comes over and quietly pulls out a gun or knife will my dog protect me?

A- No, The dog knows your friend and does not associate him as a criminal.

Q- Will my dog protect my kids when they are in the back yard?
A- yes and no

No if your dog is a friendly dog, but he may bark and act tough but will not protect them.
Yes if you have the right breed and if the dog has had training in protection.

Q- Will my dog protect my house and my family 100% if its protection trained?

A- Your dog might want to and will try - but unfortunately No not 100% because if a professional wants to come in he will even if he has to shoot the dog. If you have two dogs then your chances are way better.

Q- Should i get a male or female for protection training?
A- I suggest if you want security above average then get a male and a female.

Q- Can my protection dogs be trained not to accept food from strangers?
A- Yes, but many consequences go with it and much training is involved.
