She like many owners of breeds that have been labeled "bad dogs "

The public need to be educated.

As far as i can remember myself as a child growing up, the public has and still do have this belief that certain breeds like Pit bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Huskies, Malamutes, Dobermans and the list goes on and on... that they are aggressive and they are killers. Well you are all wrong.

All breeds can be aggressive and all breeds can attack and bite people & kids and other animals regardless.

Do you think a Pit Bull knows its a Pit Bull ..NO it doesn't. It only realizes when the owner plays a role in it.

The formula that creates bad dogs is nothing to do with the dog nor the breed it has to do with the type of owner.

Let me explain in a different way. If you were to take a child and placed it in an environment were their is abuse, violence, drugs, alcohol... what do you think that child will grow up to be? Or what if that child sees violence beatings disrespect ... exactly the child will grow up with hatred or always be defensive and mean. Dogs are the same if the owner beats them abuses them, mistreats them or antagonize them they will become eventually aggressive.

I have seen people with good home values and proper upbringing that own Pit bulls or any labeled breed to be great dogs, on the flip side of the coin their are those with different intentions in mind which get these breeds knowingly what they are capable of and turning them into the "bad labeled dog" and that's why these breeds end up with such a bad reputation. Take a cute lab. treat it well it turns out well treat it bad it will turn bad (like children)

Regardless of the mentioned breeds above lets look at all breeds that live in a good home environment but turn out bad.... WHY? ....Well its simple Their are many attributing factors for starters their are 2 types of breeders the good ones and the bad ones the bad breeder will be careless ...The good breeder will breed according to their standards producing good tempered and good character puppies.

The bad breeders simple by breeding brother and sister , mother son or father daughter create an unstable dog. With not only mental problems or behavioral problems but health problems.

Television & Media hype up breeds and the demand by the people grow ... Look at the movie 101 Dalmatians that same year it came out the breeders were breeding and selling like crazy to catch up on the demand for christmas then guess what happened more then half were taken to the spca or euthanize because they were bad, unhealthy, aggressive and they didn't want to invest time in training them.

The trend...1993 was the rottweiler their was such a big demand for them and careless breeders didn't care and just produced more and more what do you think happens. Exactly!...unstable dogs

Don't look at the breed but look at the owner and then make your judgment, plus before approaching ask permission to pet the dog. The reason you must ask for permission is simple for one its a respect level and for the 2nd part you have to take consideration that even though the owner seems decent but the dog might have some issues like insecurities and can misbehave.

Dogs are not born crazy and aggressive their created either through man and his ignorance or its the dogs genetic building block.

We can not judge nor profile breeds.....we can only profile and judge the owner.

Other times people wait to long to train their pets, they think they can wait till its older or that they can do it themselves. Some people are able some aren't and waiting to train at a later age is wrong. look at it this way a puppy that is 3 months old is like a blank sheet of paper, while a 6 month old is like a paper with many scribbling on it and a dog that is a year old is like a coloring book of a child. The younger the dog the easier and faster you can train them. While the older dog will have to be mentally formatted and instilled with the right training or program. Remember its like humans a child can be molded to your ways when they are young while an older child will give you a hard time and rebel.

Sometimes a playful dog that gets along well with other dogs and from a good home can turn bad..Why! the reason for that is at a young age another dog might have attacked it or was hurt by an older dog. The dog doesn't forget so when another dog comes close it right away will show aggression. In its head he or she feels i must attack before i get attacked. So many factors play a roll. So once again its not the breed but the individual dog and what it has lived through in the environment its in and past experiences the dog has been subjected to.

All dogs bite regardless of breed and when its a labeled breed its a bad dog but when its a golden retriever we just brush it of as oh its still young or come up with some foolish excuse.

I will give you a last example have you ever heard or read in the news paper or on internet news of any Dobermans attacking or hurting anyone Nope you haven't. So why do people have this fear of them?

Yes its the movies that have made us to believe that they are bad
